 Music & Movement Classes

Music & Movement for babies 6-11 months, who are rolling, sitting, or crawling

Babies explore music and movement acitiviteis in a clean, safe, playful, and stimulating environment.  Babies will practice tummy time and participate in fun activities that help develop physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills.

Music & Movement for children 9-15 months, who are walking  

Young walkers will enjoy exploring tunnels, slides, steps, and many other play structures as they strengthen their growing muscles and improve coordination. Children will also enjoy songs, rhythm, and playing musical instruments as they develop early language skills. 

Music & Movement for children 16-24 months, who are running

Toddlers will enjoy activities that engage their tactile senses as they explore, handle, shake, rattle, and roll everything in sight. They will run, jump, climb, crawl, and balance in our safe, unique play studio. Children will have opportunities to express their appreciation of music as they listen, dance, and play a variety of instruments.

Music & Movement for 2 year olds 

Children will enjoy activities that showcase their strength, flexibility, and balance. Two year olds will explore numerous play structures and gross motor stations as they strengthen physical and social skills. Their enthusiasm for music will continue as they sing songs, play games, and use their imaginations while exploring the sounds of various instruments. 

Music & Movement for 3-5 year olds

Preschoolers participate in music and movement activities designed to strengthen motor and social skills. Children work together as a group to play as a band with several different kinds of instruments. Preschoolers learn to take turns as they explore more structured movement activities and games.  We have combined our Apes into our Mixed Ages classes.

 Ballet Class Descriptions

Mommy and Me Ballet - 2 to 3 years: In this class children can discover the excitement of dance as well as share a special time between mother and child. Children will also be given the opportunity to sing, play games, stretch, and increase self-confidence while being introduced to basic dance concept with the security of mom. Dress Code: Girls - pink tights, pink leotard, pink ballet shoes, and pink skirt. Boys - white t-shirt, black tights or black fitted jazz pants, and black ballet shoes.

Kinderballet for 3 to 4 year olds:  Introduces 3 and 4 year olds to the world of dance. This 45-minute lesson is designed to encourage a relationship to music using creative movement and some elementary ballet vocabulary. Props are used to stimulate the imagination. Dress Code: Girls - pink tights, pink leotard, pink ballet shoes, and pink skirt. Boys - white t-shirt, black tights or black fitted jazz pants, and black ballet shoes. 

Preballet for 4 to 5 year olds:  This class is offered for children who are at least 4 years old. The structure is much like that of KinderBallet, but lends more emphasis to the basics of ballet. 15 minutes of introductory tap is combined with 30 minutes of ballet for a total 45-minute lesson. Dress Code: Girls - pink tights, pink leotard, pink ballet shoes, and pink skirt. Boys - white t-shirt, black tights or black fitted jazz pants, and black ballet shoes. Tap shoes are optional.

     Introduces 2, 3, & 4 year olds to the world of art through the integration of children's literature.  Each class begins with a children's story read or summarized by the teacher.  Children make their own artwork based on the illustrations from the story.  This class is designed to encourage children to think, explore, problem solve, be creative, and express themselves freely with self-confidence.  Children will experiment with techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpting, printing, and cutting and pasting.
